Jim Hatfield A Fallen Friend
Throughout the past few years of doing reunions and working with the Over
The Hill Gang, I have had the extreme pleasure
of meeting avery
extraordinary person. His name is Jim Hatfield and I am saddened to say
that on a trip to Vegas, he did not
return. Jim fell asleep on the couch in
his hotel room and his friends covered him up and later realized that he had
passed away.
This happened Saturday and the family is waiting for his
remains before they make any arrangements. For those of you who did
not
know Jim, he went to Horace Mann and graduated at Miami Central High. Jim
attended the last few reunions that we have had
and also attended some of
the Over The Hill Gang'sreunions. I can go on with other class reunions
that he attended, but in his heart
he was one of us. Just last week before
he went to Vegas, he knew that I have been falling behind with catching up
with our web
site and locating our classmates. He had offered to come towork with me at my home to update everything.
Well, know he will be looking
over my shoulders and giving me guidance from a higher source.

This page is a tribute to my
Alumni from Broadmore Elementary, Madison Jr. High and Central Senior High
Schools. Since we had a
choice in those days to choose our schools, our Junior
High was split up and most classmates went to Central or to Edison. If our
web
site can somehow bring us all back together that would be "unbelievable".
